This Delica caters to the adventurous, the individual, and people who just appreciate a downright good van! Our 1995 is finished in a showstopping one-off Moonrock bedliner and has a stout 4WD drivetrain that can tackle any terrain. Set off by an OEM optional bumper guard, 2″ lift, factory rainguards, and refinished factory alloys, this van is a certified head turner and has also travelled a mere 103k miles over the years. Once considered a fad, Van Life is clearly here to stay, and the enthusiast should consider spending their hard earned cash on this versatile runabout instead of going broke on a Sprinter conversion. Tough, tenacious, and good looking too, there’s not much this Japanese Classic won’t do!
The interior features three rows of versatile seating and all the power amenities you’d need to make daily driving this van in the 21st century a breeze. The seats are upholstered in grey cloth and have resisted any wear and tear over the better part of three decades. Additionally, the headliner is taut and free of unwanted tears or stains, and the carpeting beneath has been sheathed by some optional OEM mats. Your rear passengers are pampered with rear heat and Air Conditioning, and the middle bench can swivel 180 degrees for an impromptu game of cards on the road. Up front, the driver gains access to a tilt adjustable steering column, and upgraded Clarion audio is on standby to funnel tunes throughout the cabin. The dash is free of any pesky hairline cracks or UV damage that typically plagues these models, and a MOMO steering wheel is a welcome upgrade over the cumbersome factory unit. Both power windows work as advertised, as do the locks and power folding mirrors. Additionally, an expansive power moonroof is centrally mounted and slides all the way open to display the heavens above. If you’re not hauling around a full squad, the third row can be stowed against the D-pillars, or you can deploy it and fold the seats flat to catch a bit of shuteye. These vans have a legendary reputation for a reason and this interior offers a heck of a lot more utility than anything we got here in the states.
The Delica gets a lot of great engine options, but this 2.4l is beloved for its direct compatibility here in the states, making parts acquisition and servicing a snap! We’ve done a full rehab on the drivetrain and this van is turn key and ready to rock. We replaced the timing belt, water pump, and all the accessory belts to drive your components reliably, and a new radiator and fan clutch were taken care of to properly handle your thermal management. This 4G64 is fresh off an oil and filter service and we even dropped in a new 12v battery to ensure reliable starts time and time again. A new valve cover gasket seals things up top and with the maintenance performed this four banger soars to highway speeds comfortably. An automatic gearbox sends the power to the rear wheels via Mitsubishi’s super select system, and 4WD can rapidly be engaged, even when cruising comfortably at higher speeds. If you really become entrenched in tough terrain, a center locking differential is on standby and 4WD low is available to assist when needed. To refresh the drivetrain, we replaced the transfer case output seal and performed a transmission fluid flush to ensure reliable shifts. We rebuilt both front hubs and also took care of new CV axle boots on both front inners. The lifted suspension does this van surprisingly well and new shocks were installed up front to keep the ride quality comfortable. The Delica’s short nose lends itself to remarkable maneuverability and the power steering is easy to direct. The brakes stop on a dime if needed, and we wrapped those sleek refinished alloys in fresh 33″ Falkens. Not only do they look mean, they’re primed to deliver tens of thousands of miles of reliable grip to come!
