About Subaru
Fuji Heavy Industries was established in 1953, and the company name changed to SUBARU in 2017. The site covers the Impreza WRX and STI in their Japanese-market form. Subaru's November 1992 catalogue lists the first WRX as E-GC8, with a 1,994 cc turbo engine rated at 240 PS at 6,000 rpm. The first WRX STi catalogue, from January 1994, lists 250 PS at 6,500 rpm, and the September 1996 Version III lists 280 PS at 6,500 rpm. Subaru announced the 22B-STi Version on 16 March 1998 with a Japanese sales plan limited to 400 cars.
