About Toyota
Toyota Motor Corporation was founded in 1937 in Aichi, Japan. The JDM lineup covers full-size luxury (the Celsior, sold abroad as the Lexus LS from 1989), executive sedans (Crown, Mark II, Cresta, Chaser), sports cars (Supra A80 with the 2JZ-GTE, Altezza XE10 with the 3S-GE BEAMS, Celica, MR2, Soarer), and four-wheel-drive (Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado, Hiace commercial van). The JDM-only Soarer, Chaser, and Cresta are RWD platforms with no direct North American export.
