The S13 (1988-1993) came with the CA18DET, then switched to the SR20DET in 1991. S14 (1993-1998) ran the SR20DET through two body styles, Zenki (1993-1996) and Kouki (1996-1998). The S15 (1999-2002) is the last one, either Spec-R with the turbo SR20DET or Spec-S with the naturally aspirated SR20DE. All three are RWD coupes. The 180SX is the hatchback version of the S13 chassis. S13s are all 25-year-eligible for US import. S14s become eligible in 2018, S15s in 2024.

About the Nissan Silvia
The Nissan Silvia S13 (1988-1993) established the S-chassis rear-wheel-drive coupe platform that continued through S14 (1993-1998) and S15 (1999-2002). All three share front-mid engine placement, Macpherson strut front suspension, multi-link rear, and a front subframe arrangement that remains dimensionally compatible for engine and suspension applications across generations. The S13 launched with the CA18DET 1.8L turbo, transitioning to the SR20DET 2.0L from 1991; the S14 and S15 are SR20-only in JDM spec.
Within each generation, K's trim carries the turbocharged SR20DET (205ps in S13/S14; 250ps in S15 Spec-R via revised turbocharger and intercooler) while Q's carries the naturally-aspirated SR20DE (145ps). The S14 Zenki (1993-1996) and Kouki (1996-1998) are distinct body styles with different front bumpers, fenders, and rear panels, relevant for body panel sourcing. The S15 Spec-R runs a six-speed close-ratio gearbox; Spec-S a five-speed. The 180SX hatchback shares the S13 RPS13 chassis but is catalogued on a separate page.
All S13 variants are US-eligible. S14 from 1993 entered eligibility from 2018. S15 from 1999 entered eligibility from 2024. Right-hand drive throughout. The SR20DET's compact dimensions and high aftermarket parts availability, shared across Silvia, 180SX, and Pulsar GTi-R, make it one of the better-supported JDM turbocharged engines globally. JDM S15 Spec-R with the factory six-speed and 250ps SR20DET holds a premium over equivalent-year S14 K's examples in most export markets.
