Lineup

Subaru models

Subaru (Fuji Heavy Industries until 2017, now Subaru Corporation) builds horizontally opposed (boxer) engines mated to symmetrical AWD. The Impreza WRX and STI (GC8 through GDB) carry the turbocharged EJ20; this is the platform that ran the WRC. The Legacy (BD, BE, BH) is the larger AWD touring sedan and wagon; turbocharged and twin-turbo variants exist in every generation since the first. The Forester (SF, SG) sits between Legacy and compact SUV and shares the boxer/AWD lineage. At the kei end, the Sambar KS series is a rear-engine 4WD kei truck that is now actively imported under the US 25-year exemption.
