Lineup

Mitsubishi models

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation was spun off from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in 1970. The line splits between performance and rugged utility. The Lancer Evolution (CE9A through CT9A) carries the turbocharged 4G63T 2.0L and built its reputation in the World Rally Championship. The GTO (Z16A, Z15A) is a twin-turbo V6 sport coupe; the Eclipse (D32A) uses the 4G63T in FF/AWD form; the FTO is the lighter FWD coupe; the Galant is the sedan platform the Lancer line evolved from. The Pajero (V60-series) and Delica (Starwagon, Space Gear PD8W diesel) cover overland and family-MPV use. The PD8W is heavily imported into North America without a direct equivalent there.
