Quick answer
This guide covers the Japanese-market Honda Integra in two generations: the DC2, on sale from 21 May 1993, and the DC5, from 2 July 2001. Type R versions followed on 16 October 1995 (200 PS net) and with the DC5 launch (220 PS net). Chassis codes also cover ordinary grades, so identify a car by its engine, gearbox and equipment.
Background
The Honda Integra is a Honda model that Honda sold in Japan through its Verno dealers. This guide covers the Japanese-market third generation, the DC2 from 1993, and the fourth generation, the DC5 from 2001. Honda sold a Type R of each: the DC2 Type R on 16 October 1995 and the DC5 Type R with the 2001 launch. Use the generation pages for specification tables, update dates, inspection items and import rules.

Constants
Chassis history
Dates are Honda's Japanese sale dates. Each generation page has its own specification tables and checklist.
Identification
Generation names are broad families. The factory chassis codes below identify the variants represented in JDMBUYSELL's current Honda Integra guide data.
Confirm the complete code on the vehicle's frame or VIN plate; drivetrain, body, and market variants can use different prefixes within one generation family.
Market
The generation pages use Honda's Japanese net ratings in PS and kW. The US Acura Integra Type R (195 hp from the 1997 model year) and the Acura RSX (160 hp, with 200 hp for the 2002 RSX Type-S) are export cars rated in SAE horsepower, so those figures are not interchangeable with the Japanese ones. Australia officially sold a Type R rated at 147 kW, and Octane quotes the UK-market DC2 Type R at 187 bhp.

Editorial
Pick the generation first. The DC2 page covers the 1993 to 2001 cars and their 96-spec, 98-spec and Type R・X updates. The DC5 page covers the iS, Type S and Type R from 2001. On either, identify the grade from its engine rating, gearbox and equipment, because the chassis code is shared with ordinary grades, and establish the car's manufacture date before an import.
