Australia allows the import of vehicles under the Specialist and Enthusiast Vehicle Scheme (SEVS) and the Road Vehicles Standards Act 2018. Vehicles over 25 years old may enter under the Pre-1989 vehicle pathway with fewer compliance requirements. Australia drives on the left, so RHD Japanese vehicles fit naturally. Import compliance (RAWS workshops) is required for newer vehicles.
