Description

An executive sedan is a premium, high-quality vehicle, designed for comfort, refinement, and professional image. This description fits our 1998 Gloria to a T. An executive sedan is a premium, high-quality vehicle, designed for comfort, refinement, and professional image. This description fits our 1998 Gloria to a T. Finished in a lovely White Mica (QT1), this saloon is set off by subtle privacy tint, one-piece OEM rainguards, and silver Zeabec sports alloy wheels. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scuffs, the paint is in good shape, and this rear-drive five-seater is fresh off a recent

service. Offered with only 71k verified and documented miles on the clock, this Gran Turismo is barely broken in. Refined, reliable, and stylish, this Japanese Classic is an all-around decent performer. Touting VIP looks and top-notch built quality, all at an affordable price point; how can you go wrong? The cabin is spacious, nicely equipped, and full of electric amenities. The dashboard design is clean and lacks any cracking or fading. Dual SRS airbags are standard and add some peace of mind for those who might be safety-conscious. The center stack is dominated by a large Pioneer touchscreen radio upgrade. It looks modern and sounds clear and crisp. Above the digital auto climate control is intuitive to operate and doles out piping hot heat and cold A/C at a moment’s notice. The driver can find the ideal seating position courtesy of a tilt-adjustable steering column, and power windows, power locks, and electric folding mirrors all work in typical Nissan fashion, making daily use more enjoyable. The gauges are large and easy to read, although the odometer screen has illumination issues from time to time. The seats are trimmed in a soft gray cloth. They lack any major rips, stains, or tears and are supportive. The same material is mirrored in the door cards, which are in equally good shape. The headliner and door cards have resisted major abuse over the years, and it’s hard to nitpick this cabin at all! Even the OEM carpet mats are included with the purchase! If you want a real luxury sled, you should be looking for something with an engine mounted longitudinally, sending power rearward. The effect on weight distribution and vehicle balance can’t be beat, and the VQ25DE under the bonnet is a smooth and reliable powerplant. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the 2.5L churns to life with the twist of the key, and a new fuel filter has been installed to keep unwanted contaminants out of the VQ. A new engine air filter works to maximize power, and the V6 runs quietly with hardly any vibration. It sends torque through an automatic gearbox that benefits from a fresh fluid exchange. It shifts as it should and sends power to the rear pumpkin. We replaced an o2 sensor and a knock sensor to shore up the powertrain and then focused our attention on the suspension. A new driver’s side tie rod was installed, a four-wheel alignment was performed, and this Gloria is now good to go. The long wheelbase distributes bumps well, and the ride is smooth and predictable. The disc brakes are confident in slowing this sedan down, and ABS is standard equipment. The power steering is light yet on point, and the Falken tires are nearly new and knee deep in tread. Turn key and ready to roll, this super saloon would make for a unique daily driver, wicked weekend cruiser, or blank slate for a killer VIP build.
