About Daihatsu
Daihatsu Motor Company gives its date of establishment as 1 March 1907. In September 1998 Toyota became its parent company by acquiring a majority of its stock through a takeover bid. The site covers the Copen. Daihatsu announced the first Copen on 19 June 2002 and put it on nationwide sale in Japan from that day; the June 2002 Active Top catalogue lists type LA-L880K with two doors and two seats. Its JB-DET engine is a 659 cc water-cooled inline-four DOHC 16-valve turbo, rated at 64 PS at 6,000 rpm in the Japanese catalogue. Daihatsu announced the full model change on 19 June 2014, and the Robe went on sale from that day.
