This turbodiesel is fresh off an oil and filter service and churns to life promptly care of two new 12v batteries. A new fuel filter is always installed on any diesels we see come through the shop, and we also rehabbed the four-banger with a new valve cover gasket and half-moon seals. The 3.0L is linked to a stout automatic that makes good use of this mills low end grunt. The gearbox shifts properly and can send power to the rear axle or both thanks to a simple-to-use selectable transfer case. The T-Case benefits from a new front output seal installed while it was on the lift. 4WD high and low are available to the driver, but for top tier MPG, we advise keeping it in RWD.
