ecent service. Offered with a mere 157k verified and documented miles on the ticker, this baby just now getting broken in, and is turn key ready to roll. Ideal as a daily driver, safari-inspired family hauler, or as a cool weekend cruiser, this Japanese Classic is tough to beat. Collectible, uncomplicated, and rugged to the core, this SX model is an all-around decent performer and we think you’ll agree! As this Prado was one of the last sold in Japan, it received the most stylized interior. The seats steal the show, with a stellar light blue and gray confetti patterned cloth. The material lacks any major rips, stains, or tears, and matches the door cards, too. The driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column and power-adjusting lumbar support to find the ideal driving position. The amount of headroom is impressive and the view of the road ahead is clear, as this tall truck allows the pilot to sit above traffic. The dashboard is in better shape than most, as this has only a single small crack located by the glove box. If the plan is to daily drive this rig, rest assured that the power windows, locks, and mirrors all work in typical Toyota fashion. Additionally, a brand new BOSS headunit was installed here at the dealership, providing the tunes for your commute and hands-free Bluetooth technology for those who may be safety conscious. The A/C delivers cool air through the cabin, and for the winter ahead, singeing hot heat is on standby. When cargo is being loaded the split barn doors open wide to accommodate it, and the middle row can tumble forward too, for even more space. The carpets have been protected by the OEM floor mats that are included with the purchase and the headliner is tight, taut, and clean. All in all, this is one of the finest Prado interiors in recent memory. Body on frame, this old-school SUV is one tough cookie. The same thing can be said about the engine, Toyota’s legendary 1KZ-TE. This turbodiesel is fresh off an oil and filter service and churns to life promptly care of two new 12v batteries. A new fuel filter is always installed on any diesels we see come through the shop, and we also rehabbed the four-banger with a new valve cover gasket and half-moon seals. The 3.0L is linked to a stout automatic that makes good use of this mills low end grunt. The gearbox shifts properly and can send power to the rear axle or both thanks to a simple-to-use selectable transfer case. The T-Case benefits from a new front output seal installed while it was on the lift. 4WD high and low are available to the driver, but for top tier MPG, we advise keeping it in RWD. Off-road types will love the fact we just upgraded this 70 with a set of new OEM manual front lockers. Built for the trails and the beach, this Land Cruiser is awfully tough to stop! The suspension can handle the rigors of daily use and abuse and tons of ground clearance is afforded to whoever is piloting this rig. The brakes feel confident thanks to new rear pads, and the power steering is right and on point. We mounted and balanced four new Falken all-terrain tires and followed that up promptly with an alignment to promote long tire life. The new rubber looks mean, reduces road noise, and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
