More info: - Teilhol Theva Teilhol constructeur Wikipedia Teilhol Citroenet Teilhol Tangara (smaller than the Theva) Translation for above After being released by Renault in 1986, Teilhol came close to bankruptcy, but his emerging collaboration with Citroën is strengthening, which allows Teilhol to take off. In a few months, the former Renault Rodeo manufacturer developed a replacement for Citroën Méhari with the approval of Citroën, which was presented in March 1986 under the name of Teilhol Tangara. The car will have promising beginnings, so that Citroën will provide Teilhol with the base of the Citroën Ax to develop. Citroën proposed in 1988 in Teilhol to work on the basis of the Citroën AX 11 TR, undoubtedly the brand with chevrons knows that the 2CV lives its last years and wishes to prepare its new partner for this judgment. Despite all these efforts, the general line does not please customers, despite the “devilishly beautiful” advertising slogans used on the entire communication of the model. As for the interior, Teilhol takes over the dashboard as well as the AX 11 TRE armchairs, which once again saves on development costs and having a cabin in complete equipment. On the engine side, finally, the Théva is equipped with the four-cylinder online 1.124cm3 of the AX, it develops 55hp, capable of taking the car up to the speed of 161km/h. Finally, two versions of Théva were available, a five -seater version and a two -seater commercial version. In the end, even with all these efforts to market Théva, only 88 copies found takers, the car is strictly speaking a commercial failure.
