They are super reliable, capable off the beaten path, and highly refined on the tarmac. Models like this 1998 are also easy to service, sharing an engine and mechanicals with our domestic third-generation 4Runners. Finished in a lovely Crystal Pearl over Light Beige (K75), this eight-seater is set off by a set of rainguards, an OEM bash bar, and a set of stylish 80 Series OEM alloys. Aside from a few li

ght chips, scuffs, dings, and a replaced front bumper, the paint is in good shape, and this 104k verified and documented mile rig is fresh off a recent service, including a new timing belt and water pump. Premium feeling, determined, and safe, this terrific Toyota is an all-around decent performer. Ideal for adventurous types, families on the go, and overlanding enthusiasts, this platform has tons of appeal. Collectible and cool trucks like these don’t last long at our dealership, and this Japanese Classic is a gem! The cabin is spacious, nicely optioned, and in wonderful condition. Aftermarket upgrades include a touchscreen Eclipse head unit. The unit looks modern, is easy to use, and includes Bluetooth integration so you can keep your eyes on the road ahead. Dual SRS airbags are standard, and the dashboard lacks any cracking or fading. The driver can find the ideal seating position with a tilt-adjustable steering column and adjustable lumbar support. Power folding mirrors, power locks, and power windows all work in typical Toyota fashion, making daily use more enjoyable. The A/C and heat work like a charm, and if you prefer more natural ventilation, the rear quarter glass butterflies outward, and a large panoramic moonroof can retract and tilt upward. The seats are in above-average shape and lack any major rips, stains, or tears. The blue and gray upholstery is soft to the touch and mirrored in the door cards, which are in equally good shape. The headliner is tight and tidy, and aside from some steering wheel wear and some light carpet stains, it’s hard to complain about the cabin condition. Even the owner’s manuals and maintenance booklet are included with the purchase. Under the skin, this Prado is one tough cookie. Body on frame and built to withstand gobs of abuse, the same can be said about the 3.4L V6 under the hood. The 5VZ-FE springs to life care of a new 12V battery and is fresh off an oil and filter service. A proper tune-up was in order, and one of our trained techs installed a new fuel filter, engine air filter, and a set of six spark plugs. We also repaired some oil leaks and resealed the oil pan, and installed a new valve cover gasket and half moon seals to ensure the oil level stays full. The most expensive preventative maintenance service was taken care of, too, when it was on the lift. A new timing belt and water pump have been installed, so the new owner need not worry about that for another decade! A fresh batch of coolant was added as well, and the quad cam mill runs right as rain. It’s mated to a stout automatic transmission that shifts as it should. New shifter bushings were installed so it slots into to gear like a precision machine. Torque is fed through a full-time 4WD system. A low-range and center locker can be engaged when snow, sand, or mud stand in your way. It accelerates well and cruises comfortably on the interstate. New rear shocks refine the ride and we also rebuilt the power steering rack. New inner and outer tie rods were installed before we aligned this chassis, and it drives straight as an arrow. The ABS brakes feel confident slowing this rig down and grip is handled by four nearly new all-terrain tires. Turn key and ready to go, this spacious, safe, and smooth SUV is a killer little unit!
