The material is soft to the touch and lacks any major rips, stains, or tears. The same cloth is mirrored in the door cards, which are in equally good nick. The headliner and carpets have withstood the past quarter-century without sustaining major abuse. The engine is also known for its reliability and ease of service. The 3RZ-FE under the hood is fresh off an oil and filter service, and churns to life immediately, care of a new 12v battery. A fresh coolant flush keeps engine temps in check, and is good for another four years. A new engine air filter and a set of spark plugs and wires work to maximize power, and one of our trained techs has rehabbed the four-banger with a new valve cover gasket. We also addressed a leaking distributor o-ring with a new one, and while we were in there, a new cap, rotor, and distributor were chucked in. The 3RZ is mated to a stout automatic gearbox that makes good use of its powerband. Torque is funneled through a Full-Time 4WD setup before its translated to the pavement. For use in the sand, mud, and snow, a center locking differential and low range can be deployed. It gets up to highway speeds without breaking a sweat, and it slows down promptly courtesy of standard ABS disk brakes. The suspension has received a decent refresh while on the lift. New front shocks, front lower control arms, front lower ball joints, and front sway bar links were installed. The refined ride is ideal for those logging tons of miles on less-than-ideal pavement. The power steering is light and on point, and the OEM 16′′ wheels have been refinished, and are shod in brand new 31′′ all-terrain tires.
