This 1993 Skyline GT-R is a great example overall, and in far above-average condition, compared to other Skylines that have been ridden hard and put away wet. Americans got their first taste of Godzilla over a decade ago, when Nissan’s iconic R32 made its first splash on our stateside shores. As we’re well into the 2020’s, it’s no surprise this chassis has seen great success in both the US collector market and in motorsports. , the 40k miles on the clock are verified and documented, and we’ve bolstered the drivetrain with a freshly rebuilt RB26DETT, to set you on the right track for the duration of your ownership. The aesthetics are simple and subtle, finished in Crystal White (326) and set off by OEM N1 side skirts and rear spats, a factory rear spoiler, and pricey Ganador mirrors. Additionally, we restored the chassis with all new OEM window moldings and gaskets, rear wing seals, and pulled the glass when it received a fresh coat of paint. We did want to note this R32 had a prior replacement of the front fenders and hood, rear left quarter panel, and trunk lid before our body restoration. Tein coilovers give the chassis a slight drop and the factory forged alloys are still in great shape. Save for a few light imperfections, the exterior is in far above average shape, and should please the Nissan purist. A legend in every sense of the term, this GT-R is a great sport coupe and one heck of a Japanese Classic! The interior is well designed and really holds its own over three decades later. Clearly cared for in a prior life, this R32 boasts NISMO leather seat covers, a crack and bubble-free dash, and a fully functional slate of power amenities to assist daily use. Typically prone to excessive aftermarket modification and upgrades, this cockpit is delightfully stock, with the exception of a Nardi steering wheel, HKS boost gauge, and Top Secret shift knob. We also upgraded the audio, and a USDM BOSS headunit has Bluetooth and is primed and ready to pump tunes on your way to your next Cars & Coffee. Both power windows are operable, as are the locks and mirrors, and for optimal comfort, a digital automatic climate control is primed and ready with cold A/C and hot heat. The headliner is free of any unwanted nicks or stains, and the door cards have resisted any serious wear and tear to boot. The carpets are protected by fitted Imperial mats, and we really think the pictures speak for themselves, as a BNR32 in this shape doesn’t come along every day. Fresh off a full rebuild, the RB26DETT is prepared for the road ahead and is chock full of the valuable maintenance and upgrades to please even the most discerning Nissan purist. It cranks over with haste, and this inline six settles into a butter smooth idle. This DETT is a pricey powerplant as-is, and the master builders at Freed Engineering bolstered the bottom end with new OEM piston rings, King rod bearings, ACL main bearings, and ARP rod bolts and head studs. A Tomei metal headgasket seals the block to the head, where we also had new valve stem seals installed. The crankshaft was also upgraded, with a new OEM N1 unit. Built to withstand the rigors of daily use and abuse, the rest of the motor was kept mostly stock in an effort to increase reliability. HKS intakes feed upgraded Greddy T517z turbochargers and a Greddy front mount intercooler, and the symphony of inline-six goodness sounds great through a KSP catback exhaust. As you’d expect, the timing belt and water pump were replaced before install, and a new N1 oil pump serves as a formidable upgrade over stock. We also shored things up with a full reseal. A new rear main, front main seal, cam seals, and valve cover gaskets ensures you won’t lose a drop of necessary lubricant from the oil and filter service. The motor runs like a top, and shifts are handled through a 5 speed manual gearbox, which throws power to Nissan’s ATTESA all wheel drive system. The coilovers handle predictably, and carbon strut braces provide some extra chassis rigidity. We replaced the left front lower ball joints and front swaybar links to help it pass state inspection here in Virginia. The power steering is direct, and the upgraded R33 GTR Brembo brakes bite down hard when called upon, thanks to new pads on the rear. The tires are nearly new, and the chunky rubber looks great on the factory forged alloys. Fresh off an alignment here at the shop, this GTR is a determined driver, a car show standout, and a seriously good investment!
