o a looker, boasting an OEM GTR front bumper, grille, hood lip, and a GTR wing. Highly sought after Type M sedan side skirts and rear spats smooth out the aerodynamics, and the custom White Diamond (GM 98) paint looks like a million bucks. Save for some light paint chips and dings, the cosmetics are above average as a whole, and this GTS-t should have no issues impressing on the streets, track, or your local Cars & Coffee parking lot. Suffice to say, this is a true Japanese Classic that keeps getting better with age! For debuting well over 30 years ago, the interior feels decidedly more modern than most domestic offerings of the time. Packed with a full slate of intuitive and functional power equipment, this R32 sedan is comfortable, well designed, and crafted with premium herringbone cloth upholstery. The seats have resisted general wear and tear over the past few decades, and save for a damaged C-pillar cover, a cracked dash bezel, and some minor separation on the dashboard, it’s hard to scrutinize this one’s condition overall. The driver gains access to a tilt adjustable steering column, and the climate comfort can be dialed as a whole with digital automatic climate control. As expected, it pumps in functional cold A/C and hot heat on command, and a USDM BOSS audio upgrade features Bluetooth and aux capability to pump in your own tunes. For those who prefer to listen to the RB’s natural soundtrack, all four power windows can unfurl with ease. The driver can get comfortable behind a tilt adjustable steering column, which boasts a brand new leather wrapped MOMO steering wheel. Also functional are power locks, and power folding mirrors, which work like a charm. The rear seat is compact, yet big enough to toss in a couple extra passengers, and the trunk is impressively spacious. The headliner is in good shape, and the carpets are clean. Overall, this interior is in fine shape for verging on forty, and we retained the rare factory armrest extension and original owner’s manual to help protect your investment! Sometimes an engine is so good that it still feels modern in operation some three decades later. The RB20DET under the hood of this Skyline is easy to service, fun to modify, and is fresh off a laundry list of preventative maintenance done here at the shop. It cranks over with haste, care of a new 12v battery, and has a fresh oil and filter service performed. A new fuel pump, and fuel filter keep the petrol flowing, and new serpentine belts keep your accessories properly powered. We tested the alternator for good measure, and with the maintenance performed this lovely sedan aced its first road test. An aftermarket exhaust resonates nicely on the road, and the powerband is linear as the RB confidently pulls to redline. The drivetrain layout is as good as gold. A smooth-shifting 5 speed manual feeds power directly to the rear wheels, where we replaced a left rear wheel bearing. New aftermarket coilovers keep the chassis planted in the twisties, and new front caster arm bushings and swaybar links were installed to help ace state safety inspection. New outer tie rods keep the power steering ship-shape, and we refreshed the brakes with new brake pads and rotors all the way around. The OEM GTR wheels are wrapped in brand new rubber, and after a fresh alignment, you’ll be ready to track straight for tens of thousands of miles to come!
