This S15 would be at home slaying the tail of the dragon, or breaking necks at your local Cars & Coffee. Balanced, stylish, and a top-tier performer, no rear-drive Japanese Classic gets it right quite like the Silvia S15. This 2000 Spec R is a highly desirable option, with its factory turbocharged drivetrain, optional blue color-keyed interior, and 87k verified and documented miles on the clock. Clearly cared for in a prior life, this Silky Snow Pearl (WK0) Silvia is set off by an OEM optional Aero front bumper with fog lamps, side skirts, rear spats, and a sleek molded ducktail spoiler. esthetic is menacing, with beefy Enkei RPF1 alloys and aftermarket coilovers setting the stance. The paintwork looks top notch, and save for a replaced front fender and core support in Japan, it’s hard to scrutinize the exterior of this slick Silvia. The balanced, SR-powered drivetrain is a hoot to drive, and this S15 would be at home slaying the tail of the dragon, or breaking necks at your local Cars & Coffee. However you use it, one thing is for certain, this Japanese Classic is a perfect testament to Nissan’s golden years. The interior is clean, functional, and finished in an optional blue suede that enthusiasts go nuts for. Clearly well cared for in a prior life, the upholstery has resisted major rips, stains, or tears, and a complementary black dashboard and headliner do a lot to enhance the aesthetic. Utilizing a mix of soft touch plastics and premium materials, the dash is in good shape overall, and houses a passenger SRS airbag to keep your forward occupants safe. The driver gains a few performance-oriented upgrades, including a small-diameter MOMO steering wheel, and Defi boost, water temp, and RPM gauges. Tucked neatly in the center stack is an easy to use digital automatic climate control unit, which pumps out cold A/C and hot heat on demand. Adjacent to the HVAC, Eclipse audio works like a charm, with upgraded speakers and Bluetooth technology to pump in your tunes. To make daily driving a bit easier, power windows, locks, and electric folding side mirrors all work as advertised, and factory keyless entry makes getting in the cabin seamless. There is a back seat, if you need to cram in an extra passenger, but it’s best utilized as a pass-through to enter the trunk, which has ample space. With options to satisfy both the performance nut and daily driver, this cabin impresses, although we wanted to note the passenger seat has a couple holes on the seat bottom. That may be over-scrutinizing, and as a whole we think the next owner will be thoroughly impressed with this interior condition. When a chassis is this lightweight and balanced, you need an engine with similar characteristics. Nissan’s SR20DET powered the Silvia for two generations prior, and is a perfect pairing under the bonnet, as it’s smooth, fun, and easy to service. It also sports some top-quality modifications to increase the aural response. A Blitz intake and GP sports catback announce your presence, and our trained technicians have taken care of some initial maintenance, where a new 12v battery was tossed in to aid ignition. Also installed was a new engine air filter and fuel filter, keeping things running tip-top. This 2.0T feels zippy under full load, and a close-ratio 6-speed gearbox makes quick work of throwing that power rearward. Cusco rear upper control arms, trailing arms, and a Cusco LSD, with new fluid, is ideal for corner-carving junkies, and we replaced both front caster arms to keep the drivetrain safe and compliant. Blitz coilovers provide a comfortable ride, and a fresh alignment was performed to make the most out of the aftermarket suspension. Ideal for canyon carving or the occasional parking lot skid, the power steering makes this S chassis easy to maneuver about, and ABS brakes help it stop on a dime if needed. For future owners, we would recommend new steering rack seals down the line, as it is starting to seep slightly. The last line of defense between you and the pavement, new rubber on all four corners was installed, and we performed a fresh alignment to maximize tire life and keep this Silvia tracking dead straight for miles to come! Turn key and ready to rock, this platform would make for a fun daily driver, all-star autocrosser, or cool canyon carver.
