The rig is powered by the same trusty four-banger engine sold in the US. The 3RZ-FE is a tough little cookie, and this one is fresh off an oil and filter service. It churns to life care of a new 12v battery and a new engine air filter and new fuel filter work to promote top-tier fuel economy. To ensure proper thermal management a new radiator was installed by one of our trained technicians and a fresh coolant flush was performed. The 2.7L pulls hard to redline and is linked to the transfer case through a five-speed stick. Gear changes feel much more rewarding and direct thanks to a new set of shifter bushings. The ABS brakes slow this truck down quickly thanks to a brake fluid flush, and new rear drums and shoes are on hand out back. The power steering is light yet direct and grip comes from four new 31′′ Falken tires that were mounted and balanced here at the shop.
