u choose to forgo supplying the cabin with cold A/C or hot heat, a full suite of automatic power windows are available, and a power moonroof can unfurl with ease if needed. Power locks and electric folding side mirrors are also on hand, and the driver can get comfortable behind the wheel with power seating, and an electric tilt and telescoping steering column. For a bit of an easter egg, you can also unfurl all the windows and moonroof by holding the key in the unlock position! The rear seat is delightfully spacious, and the remaining interior materials are in good shape, from the headliner to the carpet below, which has been protected by a set of beefy OEM mats. Save for some light wear to the door cards, this cabin has resisted the better part of three decades without much discernible damage, and we think the next owner is bound to agree! The 2JZ-GE under the bonnet is a real trooper, and in true Toyota fashion, these 3.0’s will happily tick over the 400,000 mile mark with basic maintenance. We’ve given this I6 a full refresh for the road ahead, including a timing belt and water pump service. A fresh oil and filter service was also performed, and to keep your lubricant internal, the cam seals, front main seal, lower oil pan gasket, and valve cover gaskets were all replaced. While we were in there, we also dropped in a set of new spark plugs, a new serpentine belt tensioner, and installed a new engine air filter for a bit of a tune up. Refreshed and running right as rain, the 3.0l now jets up to highway speeds in a jiffy, and an automatic gearbox sends power smoothly to the rear. A bit of drivetrain rehab was performed too, to aid handling, steering, and braking. New front caster arm bushings were installed, and the suspension is soft and handles predictably. New steering rack bushings eliminate any unwanted slop in the steering, and we performed a fresh alignment to get the most out of the maintenance performed. The ABS brakes clamp down hard and stop on command, and we wrapped the 19’s in brand new rubber and performed a fresh four wheel alignment so you stay on track from the very first drive!
