Save for a few minor paint imperfections, chips, and fade on some of the original plastics, the condition is above-average overall, which is no surprise given the appalling 35k miles on the clock. An engineering marvel that’s been refreshed by our technicians and serviced for sale, this is one special Japanese Classic we’ll never stop importing! The interior is well designed, to put it simply. You’d expect a classic sport coupe to be barebones and cramped inside, but Nissan really figured out how to maximize interior space while still retaining a full slate of options and power equipment. The patterned cloth upholstery is durable, the seats are comfortable on longer drives, and dual SRS airbags give both forward passengers some added peace of mind. The power equipment is fully operable, too. This includes power windows, locks, and mirrors, which electronically fold to gain access to tighter parking situations. Period correct Kenwood audio sounds decent for its age, and can play tunes clearly throughout the cabin. The dash is also in good shape overall, showing no cracks or distortion from day to day use. Intuitive in design and easy to operate, the factory digital automatic climate control works like a charm, with the former doling out cold A/C and hot heat on request, ideal for our local clientele. The back seat has enough room to carry the little ones around, and the trunk is still plenty spacious, despite housing the factory 12v battery for better weight distribution. The headliner and carpets are tidy, and if we had to scrutinize the cabin at all we think it’s worth noting there is some bolster wear to the driver’s seat. Other than that, this classic interior does it all, and does it well, and we retained the original carpeted floor mats too, which have remained in great shape! Under the hood of this sleek Skyline is a real powerhouse. The RB25DET. Marvelous to drive in factory form, the previous owner opted to ditch the factory automatic slushbox for a more fitting 5 speed manual transmission. Fresh off a recent service, our trained technicians have tended to some preventative maintenance on this R33, including a brand new timing belt, water pump, and thermostat. Good for the next 10 years or 100,000 kilometers, this should save the next owner some good coin on immediate maintenance costs, and we tossed in a new fuel pump and fuel filter to improve combustion. The RB cranks over with haste, care of a new 12v battery, and jets up to highway speeds in an instant. Optioned from the factory with an automatic slushbox, a more fitting five speed stick was swapped in and feels right at home. It shifts through the tree comfortably, and throws power straight to the rear wheels. New caster arms up front bolster the stock suspension and helped this Skyline ace its state safety inspection. The power steering is light as a feather, and this Series 2 model benefits from standard ABS to keep stopping distances to a minimum. To complete the reconditioning on this R33, new rubber was installed on all four corners. Stylish, comfortable, and full of grip for the road ahead, you’ll have no problem taking this Skyline on daily drives, weekend cruises, or stealing the show at your next Cars & Coffee!
