Description

For the true enthusiast, a stickshift rear-drive coupe is always a safe bet, and this lovely 1997 R33 should tick all the boxes for a performance fiend. For the true enthusiast, a stickshift rear-drive coupe is always a safe bet, and this lovely 1997 R33 should tick all the boxes for a performance fiend. Finished in a classic White (QM1) this two-door is set off by an OEM wing, factory side skirts, and brand-new Enkei RPF-1 alloys. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scuffs from normal use, the paint is in good shape and this fast and balanced Nissan is fresh off a recent service that inc

luded a new timing belt and water pump! Boasting only 60k verified and documented miles, this freshly serviced steed is fresh as a daisy and highly collectible. Reliable enough to be daily driven, and capable enough to hit the track, this Japanese Classic is rewarding to drive, inexpensive to service, and is in wonderful condition! In terms of build quality and space, the R33’s cabin was a massive improvement over the R32. It may come as a surprise, but we have sold these to folks exceeding 7 feet tall! The dashboard is in good shape and lacks any cracking or fading. It’s also optimized for safety, with the inclusion of dual SRS airbags. The center stack is close by and includes a fully digital automatic climate control system. The heat works well at bringing the cabin up to temperature on these cold winter mornings and the A/C is ice cold for the upcoming summer. The driver can find the ideal driving position with an adjustable Recaro bucket and an adjustable steering column. The power windows, power locks, and power mirrors all work making daily use more manageable. A Pioneer radio upgrade fills the cockpit with tunes to supplement your commute, although the volume button is a bit finicky. The headliner and carpets are in fine shape and the upholstery on the door cards and seats match. Both lack any major imperfections such as rips, stains, or tears. Aside from the power folding mirror function giving up the ghost and an inoperable tachometer it’s hard to complain about this Skyline. Even the owner’s manual is included with the purchase! The chassis is sublime and the engine is powerful and responsive. The handling is above average too, and the near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution improves vehicle dynamics. Fresh off an oil and filter service. the RB25DET whirrs to life care of a new 12v battery. The exhaust note is throaty, as the HKS Silent Hi-Power exhaust and an mushroom-style intake free up a few extra ponies. A new fuel filter keeps unwanted contaminants out of the engine. Best of all one of our trained techs has performed the most expensive preventative maintenance service. A new timing belt and water pump were installed, and we flushed the coolant and installed a new thermostat for good measure. The inline six is linked to a five-speed manual gearbox. The Tomei shift knob feels great in the palm of your left hand, too. The gearbox lacks any hitches or grinds and shifts just as it should. Power is sent to the rear wheels and this Skyline accelerates impressively. To shore up the driveline, we also fixed a leak from the rear differential. It also brakes promptly and can be reeled in from highway speeds safely. The HKS Hipermax coilovers keep handling flat and reduce any unsightly wheel gap. For state inspection, we replaced the caster arm bushings and front swaybar links. Freshly aligned this Series 2 drives straight as an arrow and benefits from new inner and outer tie rods. The RPF-1 wheels are all wrapped in new Falken rubber. The new tires quell road noise and will last for tens of thousands for miles to come. Turn key and ready to roll, this R33 is an exciting import that is aging like a fine wine!
