Easy to service, fun to own, and collectible if taken care of, it’s hard to find fault with these Japanese Classics, and we think the next owner will be over the moon with this example! This Skyline’s interior has it all. Strong, comfortable materials to stand up to normal use and abuse, abundant head and legroom to accommodate our larger American frames, and a full slate of functional power equipment to make daily driving a breeze. Power windows, locks, and power mirrors all work well, and if your passengers prefer the windows up, a trick digital automatic climate control display can pump cold A/C and hot heat into the cabin on a whim. Adjacent to the HVAC, an upgraded BOSS audio headunit works like a charm and features Bluetooth functionality. For those passionate about cosmetics and condition, the trim around the center stack has resisted excessive nicks and scratches, and the same can be said for the condition of the vinyl dash cover, which houses dual SRS airbags for additional safety. The driver can settle in behind a tilt-adjustable steering column, and the low lying dash allows for optimum visibility in traffic. The headliner is tight and tidy, and the condition of the carpets is above average as they’ve been protected by factory carpet mats. The patterned cloth upholstery shows no major rips, and stains and despite the fabric fading slightly over the years, and a minor hole on the driver’s seat bolster, it’s really hard to find fault with the condition of this interior. Under the skin, this Skyline keeps getting better and better. The RB25DET serves up an abundance of power and torque, and this one is mechanically stock, and has been bolstered with some excellent preventative maintenance performed by our trained technicians, To kick things off, a new 12v battery was installed to aid ignition, and we gave the 2.5T a fresh oil and filter service. From there, we tended to a couple pesky oil leaks by installing new valve cover gaskets. New spark plugs were installed, and to get you road-ready, we performed a timing belt and water pump service. A new engine air filter and fuel filter give the I6 a new lease on life, and with the maintenance performed this Skyline spools splendidly. It soars up to highway speeds, and sends power straight to a 5 speed manual gearbox. We also flushed new fluid in the transmission to make gear changes seamless. The rear wheel drive layout lends itself to stability, and the stock suspension rides comfortably and predictably. The power steering is light and direct, and the ABS brakes grab with authority. The OEM rolling stock is shod in all new rubber, which looks dang good. After a fresh alignment, you’ll be ready to pound pavement for tens of thousands of miles to come!
