Hand assembled at Honda’s Takanezawa plant, it retains the 185 hp B16B VTEC, close-ratio 5-speed LSD gearbox, and seam-welded body that define the EK9 Type R, while adding rare comforts like keyless entry, power-folding mirrors, aluminum pedals, and a carbon-look console. With only around 2,000 units produced between November 1999 and August 2000, the Type Rx stands as the pinnacle of Honda’s lightweight, naturally aspirated performance heritage.
