the "center diff lock" button. When it locked, the 4WD system would split the power 50/50 between the front and rear wheels. In unlocked mode, most of the power would go to the front wheels. The engine layout was changed to transverse layout like normal front-wheel drive-based 4WD cars, modernized with a bigger 1.6 L DOHC 16-valve then a Man in Japan took it even further replacing it with a 4A-GE 20v engine. The engine also sports tuning parts like a LINK Monsoon ECU and HKS High Duration cams and individual throttle bodies. The engine coupled with either 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmissions. In Japan, selected models came with a height control switch, which could raise the body by 30 mm (1 in) to suit the road conditions. When the speed exceeds 80 km/h (50 mph), the vehicle height is automatically returned to the normal height to ensure stability. The interior is just as useful as the Tercel was here, sporting very adjustable seats and durable upholstery. Densely woven fabrics over vinyl allowed the whole team to use the wagon as a ski or surf rig without worrying about damage or wear. These were also the original multi hobby wagons allowing for any adventure in any climate. This vehicle has been repainted, bright blue paint with white accents helps to brighten the simple body lines. White wheels also help to bring the whole look together.
