Because those with an active lifestyle need to have a go everywhere, do everything type of vehicle, Toyota designed the 90 Series Land Cruiser. ′ alloys, a snazzy optional spare tire cover, chrome mirror caps and door handles, OEM rainguards, and some aggressive privacy tint. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scuffs, the paint is in good shape, and this TX model is fresh off a recent service, boasting only 104k verified and documented miles on the clock. With space for eight, this truck would make for a frugal year-round family hauler, yet performs well enough that it could make it as a dedicated off-road play toy, too. A determined SUV, this Japanese Classic is practical, capable, unique, and as cool as it gets! The cabin appears remarkably well cared for and includes a few upgrades and factory options. The dashboard lacks any cracking or fading, and dual SRS airbags are standard. A rugged-looking OEM field monitor delivers information about the outside conditions to those within the cabin, should you lose cell service. Below, a touchscreen Eclipse headunit pipes in the tunes. It sounds decent and comes preloaded with a bunch of Japanese music! Adjacent are the controls for the automatic climate system. This unit also has the rear heater option from the factory, so it will be nice and toasty inside for winter, and the A/C blows cold, too. Faux woodgrain trim brings some contrast to the cabin, and the blue and gray textured upholstery looks incredible. The material lacks any major rips, stains, or tears, and is mirrored in the door cards. The headliner and carpets are in good shape, as are the aforementioned door cards. To make daily use more enjoyable, power locks, power folding mirrors, and power locks all function in typical Toyota fashion. Even the steering column is adjustable for optimal driving comfort. The cargo area is in good nick, and the third row seats can fold up neatly against the D-pillar, and the middle row can scoot forward to accommodate additional cargo. The side-hinged rear door opens wide for easy loading as well. Aside from some wear on the steering wheel, the interior is impressive and we know the new owner will agree. The ladder chassis can withstand a boatload of abuse, and the same can be said for the intercooled 1KZ-TE engine. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the 3.0L churns to life care of 2 new 12V batteries. To give it a fresh start here in the States, we swapped out the old fuel filter and engine air filter with brand-new ones. To keep the oil level topped up, one of our trained techs replaced the valve cover gasket and half moon seal. A set of new serpentine belts was also installed to reliably drive your accessories. The four-banger is linked to a stout automatic gearbox. It shifts as it should and sends torque through a full-time 4WD setup. Low range can be engaged quickly, as can a center locker, which is ideal for your off-road adventures. It gets up to highway speeds with confidence and can slow down quickly, thanks to standard ABS. We did improve the brake pedal feel with a fluid flush and it’s all good to go now. The suspension got a heavy refresh while on the lift. New front lower control arms, new front lower ball joints, and new front swaybar links were replaced. The rear upper and lower control arms were also installed. It rides like a dream now, and we performed a fresh alignment, which was aided by new inner and outer tie rods. It drives straight as an arrow, and the power steering is light and easy to articulate since we fully rebuilt the rack with new seals. Grip is handled by four new 31′′ tires. The all-terrain rubber looks mean, quells road noises, and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
