The engine cranks over without a hitch, and idles smoothly and is fresh off an oil and filter service. The factory automatic transmission is surprisingly responsive, delivering rapid shifts through the powerband, and this wagon rockets to highway speeds in no time! A new transmission pan gasket and transfer case output seal work to keep the driveline strong. A new front right axle was installed, and the front left was rebuilt to give the drivetrain a bit of a refresh. We must note that due to the lowered ride height, the axles sometimes briefly bind when going on throttle but highway driving is still smooth and composed overall. The Silvers coilovers deliver a ride that is responsive yet comfortable, and even with the lowered ride height daily cruising is plenty achievable. A 50/50 torque split button is on hand for additional assistance on loose surfaces, and the brakes do a swell job if the fun has to come to an abrupt stop. Lastly, new rubber has been mounted and balanced at each corner. They reduce road noise and they'll deliver tens of thousands of miles of grip for a good while to come!
