The Mitsubishi Lancer in JDM form runs through CK (1995-2000), CS (2000-2003), CY (2004-2007), and CZ (2007-2013) generations, front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive sedans on a platform distinct from the Lancer Evolution's purpose-built turbocharged AWD architecture. Engine options include the 4G15 1.5L, 4G93 1.8L, 4G18 1.6L MIVEC, and 4B10 2.0L naturally-aspirated four-cylinders across sedan and estate body styles. The JDM CY and CZ generations were sold as the Galant Fortis in some markets.
The Lancer Ralliart in CS and CY generations occupies a trim level between the standard Lancer and the full Evolution specification, adding sport suspension calibration, body styling elements, and modest power upgrades without the 4G63T turbocharger, AWD system, or Brembo hardware of an Evolution. The CZ Lancer Ralliart uses the 4B11 naturally-aspirated 2.0L, a different engine from the 4B11T turbocharged unit in the Evo X. Chassis code verification is the reliable method for distinguishing Ralliart from Evolution: CT9A is Evo VII-IX; CZ4A is Evo X.
CK-generation Lancer models from 1995 are US-eligible under the 25-year rule; CS from 2025; CY from 2029; CZ from 2032 onward. Right-hand drive.
