About
About JDMBUYSELL™
JDMBUYSELL™ connects people who want a Japanese domestic market car with the dealers, importers, exporters, and private sellers who have them — worldwide, in one place. This page explains what the marketplace is, who runs it, and how we work to keep it trustworthy.
What JDMBUYSELL is
JDMBUYSELL is a marketplace for JDM vehicles. It brings listings from dealers, private sellers, importers, and exporters into a single searchable catalog, so buyers can compare cars across countries instead of hopping between dozens of individual seller websites.
We are not a dealership. JDMBUYSELL does not own, buy, or sell the cars listed — every vehicle is offered directly by the seller shown on its listing, and the sale is arranged between buyer and seller. The marketplace's job is discovery: surfacing the right cars, the people selling them, and the context buyers need to make a confident decision.
The team behind the site comes from inside the JDM world. Before starting JDMBUYSELL, the founder co-founded a JDM import operation that ran from 2004 to 2009, bringing hundreds of Japanese cars into North America. That background shapes how the marketplace is built — for the practical realities of buying, importing, and selling these cars, not just browsing them.
How we keep it trustworthy
A marketplace is only as useful as the confidence buyers and sellers have in it. Because JDMBUYSELL is not part of any transaction, we focus on giving both sides the information and tools to deal safely:
- Seller reviews — buyers can read and leave reviews, so a seller's track record travels with them.
- Scam-avoidance guidance — plain-language advice on spotting and avoiding common JDM import scams.
- Sourced, dated reference content — chassis guides, engine specs, and import information are written and reviewed to a published editorial standard.
- Expired-listing data — when a vehicle is no longer available, the listing is marked expired rather than left looking live.
