  "methodology": "Asking prices of cars listed for sale on JDMBUYSELL right now that show a price: median, middle half (P25 to P75) and lowest to highest, in USD. Japan and outside Japan follow each listing's location; any segment with fewer than 5 priced listings is left out, and when either has 1 to 4 both are left out so neither can be worked out from the overall figure. Asking prices are not sale prices or landed costs, and a car listed in more than one place can appear more than once. recently_sold is the median last asking price of cars their sellers marked sold on JDMBUYSELL in the last 90 days, leaving out records from the previous site and bulk updates; it appears only when at least 5 qualify. demand is distinct buyers who messaged a seller in the last 30 days, as a band and a rank, never a count. interest is the JDMBUYSELL Buyer Interest Index for the US over the last 12 months (100 = the busiest of the 12), on chassis pages only; chassis names the one chassis it covers, or is null when it covers the whole model. It measures online interest across the wider market, not activity on JDMBUYSELL, and runs one to two months behind."
