About:
1996 Daihatsu Mira Moderno Límited
Only a few Modernos were produced and even fewer Limiteds. Moderno was a limited premium variant of the base Mira.
Great condition. 2 past owners (including me). Original owner bought this car new in 1996. I bought it from him in May 2025.
Includes all paperwork including all service history and owner’s manual. ETC included (used for toll gates in Japan). Snow chains included.
This is a tremendously enjoyable car to drive with lots of character. Gears shift well and clutch is smooth. Engine also revs very nicely. I’m looking for an owner who will take good care of the car.

Everything works including but not limited to:

– Radio and speakers
What I’ve done to the car:
– Replaced exhaust with a new oem part.
– Replaced 2 engine mounts with new oem parts. Wanted to replace transmission mount too but could not find new or used parts available.
– Replaced speakers. There are 2 speakers 1 in each front door.
– Fixed driver side window. The driver side window came out of metal brackets on arms connected to actuator. Fixed with some rubber and silicone.
– Buffed out scratches on exterior. There were noticeably large scratches so buffed them out a bit with a paint scratch buffing kit from Amazon. Looks miles better compared to when I first bought the car.
– Replace wheel covers. Wheel covers that came with the car were scratched and the paint was falling off. I replaced the noticeably scratched one with used ones with still some scratches but are in much better condition than the ones that came with the car. Original wheels covers can be included.
Issues:
– No known major issues.
Small known issues:
– Old transmission mount (as stated above, wanted to get it replaced but couldn’t)
– Downpipe may need replacement soon. I believe it can’t be bolted properly due to age.
Cosmetic Issues:
– Small scratches throughout paint.
– Interior roof lining. Not in terrible shape however.
– Driver seat sides pealing.
– Weather strip on driver side breaking a bit.
