I’ve driven the car on multiple occasions now and it is INCREDIBLE. I LOVE this car. Why am I getting rid of this? Salt Lake County has strict air quality and emissions rules. I am an absolute fool for not checking into this before buying. I escalated my emissions test failure to the highest authority and they will not help me out or give an exception. What is the issue? Their county given OBD2 scanner (although connects) does not communicate with Toyota’s Japanese OBD system. Autel, Snap-on, and Toyota Techstream will however. But they will not let me show them a clear test result or use another system. They said if I imported an OBD1 car, they would have done the exhaust sniffer test and called it good. So just to be clear, NOTHING IS WRONG with the car’s air quality. The county is simply too strict. Please check your local laws. From my understanding, this is rare and most people can register OBD2 Japanese vehicles just fine. But my loss is your gain. Take the package deal for a sick sleeper
